Canadian Gateway to Newcastle Scholarship for Undergraduate Students in UK, 2013/14
Newcastle University each year offers scholarships to undergraduate students from Canada. These are provided to study any of the university’s four study abroad strands which include Pre-medical, Arts and social Sciences, Agriculture and Engineering, Business and Finance. Each Scholarship is offered for a semester which is worth £1,500 and will be payable towards living expenses. All scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit.

Eligibility:
-Applicants must be registered students at Newcastle University during the 2013/14 academic year on one of the University’s Study Abroad Programmes or undergraduate programmes.
-Applicants must be permanently domiciled in the scholarship country.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of Canada can apply for these scholarship.
 
Scholarship Description: The Canadian Gateway to Newcastle Scholarships are offered each year through competitive application, to students undertaking any of the University’s four Study Abroad strands, these include: Pre-medical; Arts and social Sciences; Agriculture and Engineering; Business and Finance or undergraduate programmes. Scholarship winners will be invited to attend the University’s Annual Donor Scholarship Event in May 2014. The Canadian Gateway to Newcastle Scholarship is made possible through annual donations towards from our graduates based in Canada. The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide students from Canada with the opportunity to experience life abroad while gaining credits towards a degree in Canada. Our alumni know that overseas study provides a great opportunity for students to broaden their minds and enhance their University experience.
 
Duration of award(s): Each Scholarship is offered for a semester.

What does it cover? The scholarship is worth £1,500 and will be payable towards living expenses.
Selection Criteria: All scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit.

How to Apply: Please complete the application form electronically and in accordance with the study abroad scholarship regulations.

Scholarship Application Deadline: The deadline for applicants applying for the full academic year or semester one only is 1st June 2013. The deadline for applicants applying for semester two only is 31st October 2013.
