CCMT 2013 Important Dates (Provisional)

Due to sunday falling within the counseling days, following change is made in the counseling dates. 2nd round of counseling would take place from 25th to 27th June 2013. Allotment for 2nd round is likely to be announced by 25th morning. Applicants should bring OBC Certificate of date later than 1st Jan. 2013 failing which their category would be changed to General (OC).

 
About CCMT
National Institutes of Technologies (NITs) are the premier institution of the country established by the Act of Parliament, under the aegis of Ministry of HRD, Government of India, for imparting world class technical education. NIT council is the apex body for guiding, monitoring and policy making for these institutions. This has been the first time that a common centralized counseling will be conducted for M.Tech./M.Plan. programmes in all the NITs. As decided in NIT Council meeting on 18th Nov. 2011, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur shall be conducting centralized admission to postgraduate programs in all NITs. The Core Committee for Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./M.Plan. Admissions (CCMT) will coordinate admissions to PG degree programmes in engineering, technology and architecture in respect of NITs.

CCMT 2013 Important Dates

Exam Notifications :- May 1st week ,2013 – CCMT, India

MNIT Jaipur (who is conducting centralized admission for M.Tech/M.Plan for the academic year 2013 2014) released detailed advertisement regarding CCMT 2013.

CCMT 2013 Participating Institutes (NITs)

Right now according to MNIT, The online portal ‘ccmt.in’ is yet not available and they are saying that it will be hosted very soon. So please be patient.

Application Fee: 
Application fee is Rs.1000/- for SC/ST and Rs.1500/- for all other categories which is payable via online only. Also the fee is not refundable.

Eligibility Criteria: 

Student must possess a valid GATE score in his applicable category during either the year 2011 or year 2012, as well as have secured CGPA of 6.5 on 10 point scale (or 60% aggregate marks) in qualifying degree. The CGPA/marks criteria is relaxed for SC/ST category ONLY to CGPA of 6.0 on 10 point scale (or 55% aggregate marks).
Reservation of seats for OBC-Non Creamy Layer (OB), OBC-other minority-Non Creamy Layer (OM), SC and ST candidates will be as per Government of India norms.

Availability of online application, online fee-payment & Choice filling: 10th May

Last date of online registration and fee payment (closes at 5:00 PM): 28th May

Closing date of choice filling & locking/Automatic locking of choices: 31st May

Four Rounds of allotment & reporting: See Tentative Schedule

 

Physical Reporting to allotted Institute/Withdrawal/Classes start: 16th -20th July
